Kay Kraus, a well respected Family Court professional, passed away on January 18, 2012.  She will be remembered as a committed advocate for the rights of children, both in developing the current Guardian ad Litem program in Hennepin County Family Court and as a Parenting Consultant.

Kay was also an active Board member of MACRS (Minnesota Association of Custody Resolution Specialists) and MICOD (Minnesota Interdisciplinary Committee on Divorce) that has now merged into AFCC-MN.  Along with Ellen Abbott, she developed the "Summary Guide Comparing Roles in Family Court" which is relied upon by many Family Court professionals.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be directed to www.casamn.org.
