Lunch & Learn - Navigating Holidays: A Kid-centric Approach

While  many families partake in the “common” holidays celebrated at the end of  the year, there are many families that celebrate holidays and  traditions that are less known to the general population. Children of  these families have their own experiences with their own families and  culture, and it is important we acknowledge this as we work with  families in legal settings, therapy, drafting parenting plans, and other  interactions. As professionals, we must be inclusive of other holidays  and have conversations with our clients that are considerate of  traditions and holidays that are outside of the mainstream for the sake  of the children involved in these cases.
