The Squid and the Whale (2005), directed by Noah Baumbach, is a deeply personal, semi-autobiographical story of two adolescent brothers growing up in Brooklyn during their parents’ painful divorce. With raw honesty and subtle humor, the film explores themes of loyalty, loss, and resilience that continue to resonate with families and professionals alike.
